Collective Experience
While working alongside UX and CX practitioners we would often share stories of exceptional customer experiences in our own lives. These experiences could be lifelong memories made during resort vacations or they could be simple delightful moments at a checkout stand. One common theme was always expressed whenever a story was shared, we need a place to capture these experiences.
Collective Experience is a concept aimed at documenting exceptional customer experiences to be used as an inspirational resource and idea generator for CX practitioners. UI designers have many resources for visual design inspiration but there is no cohesive equivalent for experience journeys and moments.
The website is a curation of experiences collected in a “gallery” and acts as a snapshot of a moment in time. Experience submissions are open to the public and are guided by a series of questions. All submissions would be vetted and curated before being published on the live website. Each experience is accompanied by a “mood” selected by experience authors and is represented as a gradation that’s assigned to each mood.
Collective Experience is intended to be a building block for a broader CX community which would grow to feature CX trends and insights, featured guest interviews, and more comprehensive experience documentation.
